Neer Dosa: Neer Dosa Recipe

Neer Dosa or Mangalore Neer Dosa is a popular breakfast dish in Karnataka. It is easy to prepare Neer dosa at home. Like Kerala Palappam, Idli or Dosa, Neer dosa is served for breakfast along with any gravy and chutney. Preparing the batter was quite easy; I just had soaked the rice and grind along with some grated coconut and add plenty of water. Neer dosa, a thin, soft and lacey dosa made with raw rice batter.

This dosa can be prepared instantly once the batter is ready, no need to ferment the batter. It tastes so good and I really love the coconut flavor in Neer Dosa. Neer means water and the batter of this dosa is very watery hence it is called neer dosa. To make the neer dosa at home, follow this recipe with step by step and enjoy it with coconut chutney or sambar.

Ingredients for Neer Dosa Recipe-

  • Sona Masoori Rice or any Short Grained Rice- 3/4 cup
  • Grated Fresh Coconut- 3 tablespoons
  • Oil- for shallow frying
  • Salt to taste

How to make Neer Dosa-

  1. Take 3/4 cup short grained rice in a bowl and wash it for 4-5 times.
  2. Soak it in 1 1/2 cups water for at least 3-4 hours.
  3. Drain the excess water and transfer it to the jar of a mixer grinder. add grated coconut in it.
  4. Grind until a smooth batter. Add water as required to grind the rice smoothly. Don't add too much water while grinding.
  5. Transfer it to a big bowl. Add salt and mix well.
  6. Add water little by little and mix well till you get fine batter or the batter turns into watery and thin consistency(like milk consistency).
  7. Heat a skillet/non-stick dosa tawa over the medium gas flame. Make sure that non-stick dosa tawa is hot. Sprinkle few drops of water on the surface and wait until it evaporates.wipe the surface of dosa tawa. Do this process before making each dosa(It helps in making thin neer dosa).
  8. Take ladle full batter and pour it on the surface in a circular motion starting from an edge towards the center from 4-5 inches high like rava dosa. Pour the batter until it covers the center of the surface. Immediately rotate/tilt the tawa in a circular motion to get the shape of neer dosa or for spread batter evenly into a thin circle. As you pour the dosa batter, few holes will be formed on the surface, it means the batter has the right consistency. If it does not happen it means the batter is thick.
  9. Drizzle 1/2 teaspoon oil around edges of it. Cook covered until the upper surface looks cooed, it will take around 3-4 minutes. Make sure that the bottom surface of dosa should not turn brown in color.
  10. Remove the lid. Fold into the half with a spatula.
  11. Again fold it into the triangular shape. Transfer it to a plate. Make soft and thin dosa in the same way. Neer dosa is ready to serve.


  • While grinding the rice, add only the required amount of water to grind the rice. Don't add too much water while grinding else the batter would not turn smooth.
  • Batter of neer dosa should be thin and watery like milk to get tiny holes in neer dosa.
  • Don't forget to stir the batter well before making each neer dosa.
  • Stack the dosa only after they are cool a little bit else they stick to each other.
  • Coconut should be slightly tender for best dosa. Dry coconut will make the batter grainy.
  • If there is excess batter, you can keep it in the refrigerator and use later.
  • Shallow bottomed pan would be best for preparing Dosa.

Gujiya Recipe: Gujiya Bnane ki Vidhi

Mawa Gujiya Recipe-It is a traditional sweet dumpling. Tasty, crisp, flaky and yummy gujiya made with a sweet mawa(khoya) and dry fruits filling. These Mawa Gujiya are a traditional Indian fried pastry stuffed with Khoya and dry fruits filling.

There are many different variations is stuffing recipes like made with jaggery and dried fruits or sooji. The authentic gujiya has a stuffing of sweet khoya or mawa.In Rajasthan, it is made on Diwali festivals as well as during the Diwali. There is another version of making gujiya from the region of Punjab and Rajasthan. Once they are fried, then it is dipped into the sugar syrup and garnished with chopped nuts.

It is known as Ghughra in Gujarat and Gujiya in Rajasthan and North India, karanji in Maharashtra and made with slightly different fillings/stuffings in different regions of India.


Mawa Gujiya

Ingredients for Gujiya Recipe-

For Dough/Cover-

  • All Purpose Flour(Maida)- 1 cup
  • Ghee- 1 1/2 tablespoons
  • Water- as needed (approx. 1/4 cup)

For Stuffing-

  • 1/2 cup(50-60 gms) grated Khoya/Mawa OR 1/2 cup Milk Powder
  • Milk- 1/4 cup
  • Ghee- 1 tablespoon
  • Dry Grated Coconut- 1/2 cup(50 gms)
  • Powdered Sugar- 1/2 cup(1-2 tablespoons less/approx. 70 gm)
  • Mixed Nuts (Almonds, Cashew, and Raisins)- 1/4 cup
  • Cardamom Powder- 1/4 teaspoon
  • Oil- For Deep Frying
Gujiya Ingredients

How To Make Gujiya

  1. Take 1 cup maida and 1 1/2 tablespoons ghee in a wide mouth bowl.
  2. Mix maida and ghee really well with your hands for at least 1 minute. The mixture will look crumbly. This step is necessary to make the crispy outer layer.
  3. Add lukewarm water and knead stiff dough (stiffer than paratha dough). Cover the dough with a moist muslin cloth and let it rest for 20-25 minutes.

Direction for Stuffing-

  • You can use either milk powder or mawa to make the stuffing according to the availability.

If you are using mawa/khoya-

  1. If you are using the refrigerated or frozen khoya, bring it at room temperature. Add khoya/mawa in a small pan and heat it over the low gas flame.
  2. Stir and cook the khoya/mawa for around 3-4 minutes or until mawa releases the little fat over medium flame. Don't cook khoya/mawa for the longer time.
  3. Turn off the gas flame and transfer the roasted khoya to a bowl/plate. Let it cool at room temperature until khoya is a little warm.

If you are using milk powder(not using khoya/mawa)

  1. Add milk and ghee in a small pan and bring it to a boil over the medium gas flame.
  2. When it comes to a boil, add milk powder little by little.stir continuously so the mixture does not burn on the bottom of the pan and to mix well.
  3. Cook until mixture turns thick and turns into a big lump(and stir continuously).
  4. Transfer the mixture to a bowl/plate and let it cool.
  5. When the milk powder mixture turns little warm add chopped nuts(cashew, almonds, and raisins) and dry grated coconut. Mix together well.
  6. Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder. (Don't add sugar while the khoya mixture is hot, otherwise, sugar melts and khoya/mawa mixture will turn runny).
  7. Mix well.Gujiya stuffing is ready.

How to Shape Gujiya/karanji/Ghughara-

  1. Knead the dough again for a minute. Divide the dough into two equal portions. Take each portion and give a shape like a long cylindrical roll. Cut each into 5-6 equal portions. Make a round shaped ball from each portion with palms of your hands. (Keep the raw gujiyas covered all the time with moist cloth).
  2. Take one ball and press it a little on rolling board. Roll it out into a 3/4-inch diameter circle like puri.
  3. You can shape the gujiya in two different ways-1.without using mold 2. using a mold

Shape the Gujiya using a mold-

  1. Place a puri over the mold. Put 3 teaspoons stuffing or according the mold size on one side of the puri. Lightly moisten the edges of puri with a wet fingertip.
  2. Cover the stuffing by folding the puri. Now, pack it tightly and remove the extra dough.
  3. Place raw shaped gujiya in a plate. Cover it with a damp cloth until oil is ready. Make all gujiyas in a similar way.

Shape the Gujiya without using a mold-

Raw Gujiya
  1. Moisten the edges of puri with wet fingers. Place 3 teaspoons stuffing in the center of rolled puri.
  2. Wrap stuffing by folding puri to give a gujiya/half moon shape. Press its edges to seal gujiya tightly. Make a design on edges using a fork.
  3. Make all the Gujiya and cover them with the moist cloth. Heat oil in frying pan. When the oil is medium hot, add 4-5 gujiya at a time. Deep fry them until light golden brown and crispy over low medium flame.
  4. It will take around 5-6 minutes to deep fry. Drain excess oil with slotted spoon and transfer over napkin/kitchen paper or to a plate. Yummy and tasty Gujiya is ready.

Beaking method to make Gujiya-

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celsius/390 degree Fahrenheit. Brush melted ghee or oil on the gujiya evenly all over.
  2. Place gujiya in a baking tray.
  3. Bake the khoya/mawa gujiya for 25-30 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius, until gujiyas are golden. Oven temperatures vary, so do keep a check while baking the gujiya. Place gujiyas on a wire rack for cooling. Then you can store the baked gujiya in air-tight box or jar.


  • Make sure gujiyas are sealed tightly. Apply little water to seal and secure the edges. A slight hole in gujiya will make them disperse in oil making a huge mess.
  • For a crispy layer- fry gujiya in medium hot oil.
  • Mawa can be substituted with roasted semolina(sooji) and toasted nuts. Use the same measurements and continue with the recipe.
  • If you use all purpose flour, then you will need less water for kneading the dough. If you use whole wheat flour for kneading, then you will need more water. So add water in parts and accordingly. If the dough appears dry, then add more water and if the dough becomes sticky, then add more flour.
  • Don't reduce the amount of moyan/ghee while making the dough. If the amount of moyan/ghee is less, the outer layer of gujiya will not turn crispy. if the moyan/ghee is too much, the outer layer of gujiya may break while deep frying.
  • Do not overstuff the gujiya otherwise, the stuffing mixture will come out in the oil while deep frying.
  • Don't fry gujiya on very high gas flame otherwise, they will not turn crispy.
  • Store it airtight box/container and consume within 4-5 days. If you want to store it for longer then add roasted semolina instead of mawa/khoya.

Chakli is a deep fried popular snack usually made during festive season.This is seriously a super easy recipe to make yummy chakli.Let's make Chakli.


Chakli Recipe

Ingredients for Chakli Recipe-

  • Whole Wheat Flour- 1 cup
  • Ginger-Green Chilli Paste- 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds (til)- 1 tablespoon
  • Red Chilli Powder- 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder- 1/4 teaspoon
  • Curd or Yogurt- 3/4 cup
  • Oil- 1 1/2 tablespoons + for deep frying
  • Salt to taste

Method: How to Make Chakli Recipe

  1. Take whole wheat flour into a small container, and close the lid.
  2. Take a 3-liter capacity pressure cooker, Pour 2 cups water in it and now place a metal stand.
  3. Place the container filled with flour over the metal stand.
  4. Close the pressure cooker, steam it for 3-4 whistls Or about 15-18 minutes over medium flame.Turn off the flame and let it cool for 5-6 minutes.
  5. Open the pressure cooker lid and remove the container very carefully.Open the lid of a container.
  6. Transfer steamed wheat flour to a big mouthed bowl.You will see that flour becomes hard.Now flour is not in powder form, it is like a big, hard lump.
  7. Break it with the pestle into powder.sieve it and discard all small and large lumps.
  8. Add green chilli-ginger paste, red chilli powder, sesame  seeds, salt, turmeric powder, 1/2 cup curd and oil.Mix it well.
  9. Bind hard dough.If required add remaining 1/4 cup curd to bind the dough.the quantity of curd required to bind the dough depends on the quality of flour.
  10. Take chakli maker machine and chakli mould.Grease the inside wall of chakli machine and chakli mould with oil.
  11. Place chakli mould in the machine, fill it with dough and close the lid.Grease plate or use butter paper to make spirals.Prepare raw chaklis by moving the machine in spiral motion with one hand while twisting the handle of machine with another hand.Make spirals as you like.
  12. Heat oil over medium flame.Now check the oil, it should be hot now.Drop a pinch of dough in the oil.If it comes on top after 1-2 seconds then oil is ready to fry.When oil is ready add 4-5 chaklis and deep fry them until crispy and golden brown.flip the chaklis 2-3 times in between for even frying.
  13. Remove them using a slotted spoon and transfer to a plate lined with paper towel.
  14. Chakli (Chakli recipe) is ready.Store in an airtight container and consume within 20 days.

चकली बनाने की विधि: CHAKLI RECIPE IN HINDI

आवश्यक सामग्री-

  • गेहूँ का आटा- 1 कप 
  • अदरक-हरी मिर्च का पेस्ट- 1 टेबलस्पून 
  • तिल- 1 टेबलस्पून 
  • लाल मिर्च पाउडर- 1 टीस्पून 
  • हल्दी पाउडर- 1/4 टीस्पून 
  • दही- 3/4 कप 
  • तेल- 1 1/2 टेबलस्पून + तलने के लिए 
  • नमक स्वादानुसार 

चकली बनाने की विधि-

  1. सारा आटा एक छोटे कंटेनर में लीजिये और उस कंटेनर का ढक्कन अच्छे से बंद कर दीजिये. 
  2. अब 3 लीटर कैपेसिटी वाला प्रेशर कुकर लीजिये, कुकर में 2 कप पानी डालिये और अब उसमे एक मेटल स्टैंड रखिये. 
  3. अब कुकर में रखे मेटल स्टैंड के ऊपर आटे से भरा कंटेनर रखिये. 
  4. प्रेशर कुकर को बंद कर दीजिये, अब 15-18 मिनट या 3-4 सिटी बजने तक मध्यम आंच पर पकाइये.गैस बंद कर दीजिये और 5-6 मिनट ठंडा होने दे. 
  5. कुकर का ढक्कन खोलिये और बड़े ही ध्यान से आटे वाले कंटेनर को बाहर निकालिये। कंटेनर का ढक्कन खोलिये. 
  6. भाप में पके हुए आटे को एक बड़े मुँह वाले बाउल में निकालिये.अब आप देख सकते है कि आटा पाउडर की तरह न होकर गुठली की तरह कठोर हो गया है. 
  7. अब इसे किसी चीज की सहायता से तोड़कर फिर से पाउडर फॉर्म में बदल दीजिये, अब इसे छननी से छान लीजिये और गुठलिया आटे से निकल जायेगी. 
  8. अब इसमें हरी मिर्च-अदरक का पेस्ट, लाल मिर्च पाउडर, तिल, नमक, हल्दी पाउडर, 1/2 कप दही और तेल डालकर अच्छे से मिला लीजिये. 
  9. आटे को सख्त गुँथ लीजिये। अगर आवश्यकता हो तो बचा हुआ 1/4 कप दही आटा गुथने के लिए मिला सकते है. आटा गूथने के लिए दही की  मात्रा आटे  की क्वालिटी  पर निर्भर करती है. 
  10. अब चकली बनाने वाली मशीन और माउल्ड को चारो तरफ घी या तेल लगाकर ग्रीस कर लीजिये. 
  11. चकली माउल्ड को चकली मशीन में रखिये, आटे को मशीन में भरकर ढक्कन बंद कर दीजिये. एक प्लेट को घी या तेल लगाकर चिकना कर लीजिये या बटर पेपर यूज़ कर सकते है, चिकनी की हुई प्लेट में कच्ची चकली बनाकर रखिये, इसके लिए एक हाथ से मशीन के हैंडल को घुमाइए और दूसरे हाथ से मशीन को गोल गोल घुमाइए। आप अपनी इच्छा अनुसार चकलीया बना लीजिये. 
  12. तेल को मध्यम आंच पर गरम करिये, थोड़ी देर बाद तेल को चेक करिये। थोड़ा सा आटा तेल में डालिये, अगर 1-2 सेकण्ड में आटा ऊपर आ जाता है तो तेल तलने के लिए तैयार है.जब तेल तैयार हो तो 4-5 चकली तेल में डालकर कुरकुरी और गोल्डन ब्राउन होने तक तलिये. तलते समय चकली को बीच-बीच में 2-3 बार पलट दीजिये. 
  13. अब एक बड़े चम्मच या पकोड़े वाली चलनी से चकली को निकाल कर पेपर टॉवल बिछी हुई प्लेट में निकाल लीजिये. 
  14. चकली बनकर तैयार है.इसे एयर टाइट कंटेनर में भरकर रखिये और 20 दिन तक खा सकते है.

Strawberry Milkshake

Ingredients for Strawberry Milkshake-

  • Ripe Strawberries- 7-8 (fresh or frozen)
  • Milk- 1/2 cup
  • Ice cream- 1/2 cup
  • Sugar or Honey- 1 teaspoon (optional)

Method: How to Make Strawberry Milkshake-

  1. First, wash the strawberries and then pat dry them.
  2. Remove the green leafy part from all the strawberries and cut into halves (or chop the strawberries).
  3. Add the chopped strawberries, chilled milk and ice cream in a blender jar.
  4. Add 1 teaspoon sugar or honey or as required.if the strawberries are very sweet, then you do not need to add sugar for extra sweetness.
  5. Blend until the smooth puree. Pour into tall serving glasses.
  6. Garnish with strawberry and serve.

Vanilla Milkshake Recipe

Ingredients for Vanilla Milkshake-

  • Vanilla Ice Cream- 1 cup
  • Cold Milk- 3/4 cup
  • vanilla Extract- 1/8 teaspoon (Optional)
  • Sugar- 1 teaspoon

Method: How to Make Vanilla Milkshake Recipe-

  1. Add milk, sugar and vanilla extract in a blender.(If Vanilla extract is not available then don't worry).
  2. Add vanilla ice cream.Blend until creamy and smooth. 
  3. Pour milkshake into a serving glass and serve yummy and delicious vanilla milkshake.

  • वनीला आइस क्रीम- 1 कप 
  • ठण्डा दूध- 3/4 कप 
  • वनीला एक्सट्रेक्ट- 1/8 टीस्पून 
  • चीनी- 1 टीस्पून 

वनीला मिल्कशेक बनाने की विधि-

  1. सबसे पहले एक ब्लेंडर में वनीला एक्सट्रेक्ट, दूध और चीनी लेकर 30 सेकंड ब्लेंड करिये. 
  2. अब वनीला आइस क्रीम डालिये और क्रीमी, स्मूथ होने तक ब्लेंड करिये.

Ingredients For Chocolate Milkshake Recipe-

  • Chilled Milk- 1 cup
  • Chocolate Syrup- 1 1/2-2 tablespoons
  • Whipped Cream- for garnishing
  • Chocolate or Vanilla Ice cream- 3/4 cup

Method: How to Make Chocolate Milkshake Recipe-

  1. First, Pour chilled milk into a blender jar.
  2. Add chocolate ice cream or vanilla Ice cream.
  3. Now add chocolate syrup, blend it until mixture becomes frothy and there are no lumps of ice cream.
  4. Your Chocolate Milkshake is ready, pour milkshake into a serving glass and garnish with whipped cream and serve.

आवश्यक सामग्री-

  • ठंडा दूध- 1 कप 
  • चॉकलेट सीरप- 1 1/2- 2 टेबलस्पून 
  • व्हिप्ड क्रीम- सजाने के लिए 
  • चॉकलेट या वनीला आइस क्रीम- 3/4 कप

  1. सबसे पहले एक ब्लेंडर जार में ठंडा दूध डालिये।
  2. अब उसमे चॉकलेट आइस क्रीम या वनीला आइस क्रीम और चॉकलेट सिरप डालकर तब तक ब्लेंड करिये जब तक मिश्रण झागदार न हो जाए या आइस क्रीम अच्छे से घुल जाने तक ब्लेंड करिये. ध्यान रहे की आइस क्रीम की गुठलिया नहीं बननी चाहिए, वह अच्छे से घुलने तक ब्लेंड करे.

Yeast Free Pizza Recipe

Pizza Recipe: Usually pizza is prepared with yeast for rising the base.But most of us do not use yeast or at times yeast is not available.In this case pizza can be prepared without yeast.so Let's make pizza with this easy and delicious pizza recipe.

Pizza Recipe

Ingredients for Yeast-Free Pizza Recipe-

For dough-

  • Refined flour- 1 cup (125 grams)
  • Olive oil- 2 tablespoon
  • Curd- 2 tablespoons
  • Baking Soda- 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sugar- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt- 1/4 teaspoon

For Pizza Topping- 

  • Mozzarella cheese- 2*2 inch piece
  • Capsicum- 8-10 pieces (1 inch long)
  • Preserved olive- 1 tablespoon
  • Pizza Sauce- 2 tablespoon
  • Oregano- 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sweet Corn- 1-2 tablespoon
  • Black Pepper Powder- 1-2 tablespoon

Method: Pizza Recipe

  1. Take refined flour in a large bowl.Add sugar, curd, salt, 2 teaspoon olive oil and baking soda.
  2. Mix all ingredients very well, then knead soft dough with help of lukewarm water.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth and even or for 6-7 minutes.Pizza dough is ready.
  4. Grease the baking tray with some oil.Place the dough ball over tray and flatten with your hands into 1/3 inch circular shape.Evenly spread some oil over the pizza.
  5. First spread a thin layer of sauce over the pizza.Now place chopped olives, capsicum at distance and spread some sweet corn as well.
  6. Spread grated mozzarella cheese over the vegetables.
  7. Preheat oven at 200 degree centigrade, place the baking tray in preheated oven and set it for 12 minutes on 200 degree centigrade,
  8. After 12 minutes check the pizza, If cheese is not melted and the pizza is still not brown from corners, then bake pizza for 3-4 minutes or until pizza gets slightly brown from corners.
  9. Sprinkle some oregano and black pepper powder over the pizza, cut in 4 pieces.
  10. Pizza without yeast is ready, serve pizza with tomato ketchup.

  • Batata Vada- 4
  • Pav Bun- 4
  • Green Chutney- 1/4 cup

  • Butter- 2 tablespoons (optional)
  • Tomato Ketchup and Green Chutney- for serving

Method: Vada Pav Recipe-

  1. Make batata vada by following this recipe link.

  3. Make Green Chutney by following this recipe link. 
  4. Take Pav and slit it horizontally into two equal halves and keep one-side connected.Spread 1 tablespoon Green Chutney or as your taste on both inner sides of pav bun. 
  5. Now spread 1/2 tablespoon dry garlic chutney over it. 
  6. Place one fried batata vada between them.Pav vada is ready.Serve Vada Pav with green chutney, tomato ketchup and fried green chilli.  

वड़ा पाव रेसिपी: VADA PAV RECIPE IN HINDI

आवश्यक सामग्री: Vada Pav Recipe in Hindi-

  • बटाटा वड़ा- 4
  • पाव बन- 4 
  • हरी चटनी- 1/4 कप 
  • सुखी लहसुन चटनी- 1/4 कप 
  • बटर- 2 टेबलस्पून 
  • टमाटर केचप और हरी चटनी - परोसने के लिए 

विधि: Vada Pav Recipe in Hindi-

  1. बटाटा वड़ा बनाने के लिए इस रेसिपी लिंक पर क्लिक करिये।
  2. लहसुन चटनी बनाने के लिए इस रेसिपी लिंक पर क्लिक करिये।
  3. हरी चटनी बनाने के लिए इस रेसिपी लिंक पर क्लिक करिये।
  4. एक वड़ा पाव लीजिये और उसे एक तरफ से बीच में चाकू की मदद से काटिये और दूसरी तरफ से हल्का सा जुड़ा रहने दीजिये.

  6. अब उसके ऊपर 1/2 टेबलस्पून लहसुन की चटनी छिड़किये. 
  7. अब इनके बीच एक तला हुआ बटाटा वड़ा रखिये। आपका वड़ा पाव बनकर तैयार है.इसे टमाटर केचप और हरी चटनी, तली हुई हरी मिर्च के साथ परोसिये.
